As said above, JP numbers his Ultimates. A guy in my team has one from about 4-5 years ago that is numbered......

Haha. 3 different people basically explain why not to go for this cue, and you offer £600??

Andrew, you got any fake JP badges? I've got an old cue craft cue I can put it into and someone will buy it for £600!

I swear, you just can't help some people.

                  Even then I'd be skeptical!

as he ever made ultimates without numbers i thought the very 1st ones didnt. the badge looks real
i have seen a lot of fake parris cues i even have one here a classic that my dad bought off ebay about
7 years ago. if you look closely at the badge the ink looks like its been put in by a hot needle and it leaves
little rings the fakes i have seen dont have this.

The colour of the badge doesn't look right to me,I have compared it to my 12 mth old 3/4 Ultimate and it looks more translucent when compared with mine,to be fair this could also be a result of age and yes the serial number is missing.
What is also curious is the apparent length of the ebony butt,it looks too long.I ordered a 1 piece Ultimate back in Jan. and wanted John to make the butt the same length as that on a 3/4 and he told me it was not feasible to do this.
                        Caveat Emptor.

the badge looks spot on its covered with a clear resin because its a round butt all the lettering looks right to.

I have seen authentic Ultimate with no number before.
Not an expert on JP cues so cannot comment on if this is real or not.

Ok. First of all I would like to say Thanks to the ones who are interested in the cue. This thread was originally a Selling thread, but obviously has turned into fake/real thread, fine.

I can assure you all that this cue is legitimate. Yea Blah all you want, I look forward for JP to comment on this cue. Feel free to take these images and send them to him, this is all part of testing before purchasing right?

To be honest, I cannot tell you straight out how old this cue is, but my opinion I would estimate this cue at least 10years old+

Below I attach some new pictures I captured with my phone closeup, and another side by side with my brother's 1 Year old Mastercraft.
There you can notice the cue's ash is distinctively darker. This shows that you cannot judge this cue with another that is fairly new.

I assure you that the badge is real. You can run your hand down the Ebony over the badge and it as flush as running your hand down a woman's backside.

The cue when held feels smooth, when down you a shot and you're feathering the cue, the weight distributed in a way that on a shot the shaft feels stiff but the butt isn't heavy. This is a beautiful cue and to be honest with you is really ****es me off people making comments on this antique.

I also attached some snaps of the slicings, cue tip, various angles.
