Wanted Cue wanted - Glover, White, Wooldridge, Parris etc 9mm tip, 18oz

Hi everyone,

Before i take the plunge and wait 4 months for Tony Glover to make me a cue i was hoping to try and find something that i can maybe get on with straight away, or at least last me 4 months if i still decide to get one made. Its mainly for 8 ball so I'm looking for a 9mm (or just over) tip, pref about 18 -18.5oz, 57-58" height

Obviously if it looks ****-hot that would be a bonus, I really like the use of Burr woods in the splices

All cues considerd, price range betweed £200-400

a freind of mine has asked me to try and sell his wooldridge cue (my old cue) he lives in stockport, it has lotts of burr splices with ebony and white veneers

specs are 58"
9mm tip
17/18 oz
29.5mm butt

will have to confirm these if you wanted as im just going by what i remembered ?

It has a maple shaft, and is 3/4 jointed !

he called me up today as he is getting married in march ha ha and wont be playing pool after the whip is cracked

I dont have any pics but could sort some out if needed, and can confirm he is a genuin freind of mine who has recently left my own pool team to live in stockport.

He said he is after as much as possible but i geuss it would be £300+

Wow that sounded perfect until the maple shaft, forgot to say in original post that an Ash shaft is a must. Really don't get along too well with Maple!

Would you be prepared to go to 57 3/8 " , 16oz and 10mm ( there is enough in the shaft to take down to 9mm). The cue is a Glover rep and does not belong to me , but is available.The cue is one piece and if you like lighter cues , as a lot of 8 ball players do, then its a steal at the price he is asking.I will not post the price on an open thread but if you are interested I will wait until you can PM.

i have a trevor white cue in the style of a burwat champion pool spec more like 8mm though i think.

Old School sorry pal i currently play with a 19oz and was looking to down a little but 16 would be too light, 18 is a big enough jump but i do need to start playing a little lighter with 8 ball my main focus.

Same with the tip ADR i currently play with a 10mm and was looking to down it a little but i think 8 would be too tiny, do like the burwat champions though so shame really

Hi mate I think ive got the sort of cue you are looking for, its a beautiful Tony Glover and its for sale. The specs are:
56.75 inch
9mm
18oz approx
Balance point at 16 1/4 inches
The Butt is solid black ebony with a Thuya Burl front splicing with green and red veneers.
SD joint fitted on the butt
6 inch Mini Butt Extension and Telescopic Extension can also be included if they are needed.

just over 10 mths old, bought for me as a gift so only played with a few times.
