  • Just to stir things a bit...remember the ultimate no 756..........the one where the badge alone was sold on eBay and then turned up on another cue a few months later.....well it seems that Jasonx bought the ultimate no 756 from a guy in oz a few years ago....not sure if this info has any bearing on the above posts but seems a bit dodgy to me........
You may defeat me but I will fight you to the very end!!!!

Thank goodness you used PayPal,you will get your money back.
When you sign up for a PayPal account you have to agree by their decision in the event of a dispute and you have to give them permission to debit your nominated bank account for any disputed amount, you also have to provide them with a back up credit card account incase you don't have the funds in your bank account.
Well done also for not falling for his demand of ending the PayPal Dispute prior to receiving his refund.

Good for you then but you were the seller, it's not the same. Tell that to 'icem3n' and I'm sure he'll disagree with you about that guy being a 'gentleman'.

            • Needs to get in touch and do it through paypal. I'm sure that they'll refund him under the circumstances.

As you should! That guy is just not genuine. If he had returned the money promptly when asked, this matter would have been settled, albeit with a bitter taste in the mouth. As it is now, a solid month is going by.....................

Hope that PayPal settles this for you by next week.

                  • They should do some kind of fee, for every day he doesn't pay back in stick another 20 quid on, I bet he'd soon refund ya then! :snooker:

                    • Good Luck - if the guy is in China Pay Pal does not have the same features there as are available here, the guy could have closed the account which may have been in a different name anyway ?? Hope you get your money back.

I cannot understand the continued disputes about John Parris cues, genuine or fakes, there does not seem to be a great deal of difference in quality or appearance between the two?? But I agree whatever the quality of a Parris cue is you should be confident that the cue you buy has actually been made by Parris, if you are happy/silly enough to pay 1000 pounds+ for a logo disc you are at least entitled to get a genuine one. John if you read this forum, why don't you ring your good friend Lou Xi Pei and do what he does to protect your product, and your customers? Holograms and micro chips are cheap these days and cannot be copied. Guys have a look at the LP Duke, and King Cues how they authenticate and protect their cues, mind you if you are any good at evaluating cues you can pick an LP Duke or King cue with your eyes shut. With LP the unique 3/4 - SS joint alone guarantees that no one copies them. Generally my advise would be if you want a one piece cue order one from the maker, many Parris copies with authentic logo discs especially in the one piece style have appeared on ebay from Canada and Ireland but also the Far East, besides anyone with a genuine one piece is not going to give that cue away either, so the possible saving you make on a used cue is certainly in my eyes not worth the risk you run. If you must have a Parris, White, Black, Green, or whatever cue order one from the maker direct. Cues don't make a player, just remember that, look at the broom sticks used by Mc McCullough, Ebdon, Doherty, Mc Manus et al. Find something that suits your height and style and which feels good in your hand, have it well tipped and practice, once you get to a certain level cues will automatically become less important to you. Every top player I know who changed his cue or required a new cue, made his choice from as many cues as he could get to try, I don't know anyone that would outlay 1000 pounds for a cue he has never tired and has no idea how it will feel, these guys are what we call logo disc players. They cannot pot a ball unless they have a certain logo Disc on their cue butts.

Has the refund issue been resolved, or has he stopped responding all together?

Paypal has decided in my favor.
Paypal will credit amount to my account.
So I am still waiting for this adjustment to be posted my account.
I am worried the seller's account has insufficient funds to complete the refund owed.
Seller also never reponse to Paypal when he was requested to.
