I did say it was a later example and yes I have seen red badges and Indian Rosewood with transfers and didnt Hendrys original have a metal plate.Connoisseurs were made for some time , 15+ years as far as I know, so perhaps this is just a pattern not seen before or it could be a repair , as has been suggested.If someone wishes to put it back to what they consider " original " thats up to them.I am convinced that it is original.

Thats right oldschool they were made for near 20yrs and stephens was originally a red metal badge,id say tis prob a repair job but still looks like a nice cue all the same. Also any of the maple 1piece connys ive seen were the earlier red badge design, whereas any 1piece rosewood badged ones ive seen have all been the white ash model. Ive not seen a early 80s onwards conny in maple at all. I think the white ash model took over from the maple in the 80s.

My highest bid is much higher than £52, but as it's still not high enough to reach your reserve, eBay just updates it to £1 more than the next highest bid, hence the £52.

Yeah Matty im confident of it reaching my reserve as i think the cue is worth it as for the other Connies that have sold on ebay at ridiculous prices. Like you say its deffo worth more than £52.

Might end the auction if anyone comes with a decent price for the cue as a buy it now.

Hope you get it sold. Would still like to see a picture of the top splices. looks like the bidding has stalled for the moment so Gerry's offer might be worth considering. The thing with cues is that there true value is only what someone is prepared to pay at the time. I wouldn't mind one of these Conny's but will keep my eyes open for an earlier version although I know they're rare.

Thanks mate yeah I hope it does sell as well cos its such a good example of the cue i dont have the cue at the minute my friend who has listed the cue on ebay has it so just send him a messsage on ebay he will take pics then.

Yeah bidding seems a bit slow at the moment but its still got a couple of days left.

I dont know what Gerry's offer is for the cue to take i would end the auction for the right price.

Right the cue has past my reserve now as ive had a message asking what the cue reserve was at and then a bid has been put in on £100 so the cue is going to be sold no matter what now so im happy.

If anyone wants a send me a message about a buy it now as i would rather sell to people on the forum.

If people are bidding on the cue, and it's past your reserve price, that's very poor form.

What he means is that people are bidding on your cue on eBay in good faith, hoping to win the auction and you can just pull the rug from under them whenever you fancy if you get another offer elsewhere. Usually when people want to have that option the eBay ad would say so - yours doesn't i.e. bad form.

If you have a Buy It Now price in mind why isn't that an option on eBay?

his cue, his option if to pull from ebay if he gets right offer. people do this all the time. your out to get as much as possible for your cues, not satisfy someone else view to get cheap as poss.

I gotta agree with Mike above way too much of this going on and *isses me Off also especially if your the Highest Bidder for over 6 days then they take it off Because Somebody Offerd them Better Offer or Just to save them Fees etc!!
