I was messing. It was sold on eBay to a member on here. Probably from Glasgow. People will say anything sometimes to sell stuff. It's not a case of +1. I was trying to save you some cash and stop you being ripped off. Apologies if I mis read your advert. I thought you were looking for advice. Oh and oxo are available in all good supermarkets. Other brands of stock are also available. LOL ;-)
Yeah i thought that was the case (no worries), i was never intending to buy the que i was purely after advice and to see peoples opinions on it. Basically im trying to build up my knowledge of cues (vintage and new) and prestigious makers so that when i decide to upgrade my cue i will not get caught out if i decide to buy a used cue. Ps oxo also comes in tubes nowadays, get with the times!
Touche Michael Touche! On a more serious note i do need some advice on my existing cue, as i only know where my parents brought it from and the maker, i know nothing spec wise. Im 6ft 2 and i dont know what weight i should be using, length etc as i barely grip my butt when i play (insert joke here) but sometimes feel i could do with a bit more length (innuendo No2) been looking at changing and have a rough short list for what i want to spend.
Do you roughly know your specs and price limit? I maybe able to help. If you're 6'02" then you are same as me. I use a 58.5, 9.25mm tip and 18.5 oz. but all that is personal preference. It's what you're comfortable with weight and tip size. I would however say with your height you'd need a minimum of 58" but it does all depend. People are happy to go an inch here and there;-)
I would like to know how i go about finding the weight of my cue?, its a 3/4 piece ash cue, tip ive just changed and its between 9and10mm, length is 58"and apparently it was made by barracuda or one of there makers with a golden rose badge.
Do you have any kitchen digital scales? Or where abouts do you live. You could take it to a post office and pretend you want to know weight to post it off! Weigh it on their scales. Or buy some from Argos about a tenner? Tip can be measured with a ruler tbh. But a gage is better. If you live near a cue maker take it to them.
Just chucked it on some kitchen scales and it was between 18.5-19oz, so cue seems to be about right for my size maybe a tad longer would be nice. Dont really know of any good cue makers south of London execpt Wooldridge but you cannot try before you buy, but had one of his standard shark cues on my rough list as an upgrade.
