  • Wanted 3/4 Cue

    Hi,

I've been playing snooker for years but always with cheap cues. I get 30 breaks regularly and have decided the best way to improve my game is to invest in a decent cue.

I have a budget of around £250. Would anyone have any decent advice?

What are the best makers in my budget?

I have thought I could maybe get one off the shelf from either Northwest Cue or Craftsman for that price.

Or would a second hand cue from a well respected maker be a better option?

    Thanks
    Craig

It's not letting me PM, or at least I can't figure it out. Maybe because I'm new to TSF.

          My email address is craig.ainscow@hotmail.com

Photos and details would be appreciated, cheers.

I'm just trying to do some research. My initial view is that my spec would be 57", maple, 9.5mm, 18oz although I'd appreciate advice.

I heard craftsman is a good option as you can try a few in the shop. Also, reading some of the forums on here there are good reports about GBL? One of the reasons I suggested North West is my regular playing partner plays with one that was custom made for his grandad and plays really nice and I only work about 10 mins away. Not sure if one off the shelf would be available in my price range though.

At that price range I am sure
Kev of North West can make a really great cue.

For that kind of budget mastercraft or Andy Travis could make you a cracking custom cue or check oil craftsman or green baize ltd
