The other point to consider is that about 15 years ago or so when I paid £360 for a JP that was worth a lot more than £360 would be today, maybe double, so maybe there isn't a problem with people asking for what they paid or a bit more, particularly if it is more likely to have been made by JP than one of his employees?

They don't go off like food, wine, cars and people, if they've kept their condition they will last a lifetime.
