  • Wanted Possible To Get A Decent Cue At GBP100 And Below?

    Hi all,

I'm new to the snooker world and currently a student whom just joined the school's team. Recently just purchased a 2nd hand 1/2 cue but I would like to get another. As I'm on a tight budget, I could only look at Powerglide and maybe Mastercue for their machine made or if I'm lucky, maybe a hand made one.

Any other options? Wouldn't really wanna spend that much for a start. 1 of the main reason for a new cue is to keep the 1/2 as a spare.

    Hi There,
You would be better getting a Machine Spliced Master Cue rather than a Powerglide or Bce etc, Have a Look on eBay you may be lucky to get a Hand Spliced 2nd Hand Master Cue on there as they are very good quality/value for money cues on the market today.

Thanks but I have no luck on Ebay.

I was looking at Master cue. The Mastercue Classic attracts me but it is over my budget.

I checked with Mastercue. Apparently his budget cues are within my budget. Most properly getting either a classic or TD1.

should be good enough for you for at least your first year or two, but in my opinion you have to feel the cue before you buy it, at least until you'll know exactly what you are after

Yeah. I tried my friend's cue from Mastercue but his is from the higher end side. I hope the feel difference won't be that huge . From what I've checked, buying a snooker cue in my country is way more expensive.

Mastercue quality is pretty consistent in my experience. Reasonably priced too. Good buy.

you need to spend just a little more, Dave at mastercraft will sort you out a first rate cue for around £150, no extensions mine but these can be added later.

I wanted to get a machine spliced one but there price difference is only S$40 thus I'll be getting the hand spliced one then.

Lazy go until Toa Payoh although I did played a few times over there. I'll be heading to RC later to try out before placing an order. 1 of the uncle players there has a CS and TD from Mastercue in his locker and has agreed to let me try out later in the afternoon when I asked him just now.

Yes, he Ukrit already sent me the price list.
