Yeah he delivers cues but from all the chatter on here for the msot part theyre delivered to him. Not sure of the extent of his involvement in working on the cues. Could be as little as seeing what ones look the best, rejecting the others, finishing them and applying a badge.

They are both well known and respected cue makers, this could really harm their reputation. There is a famous line in the advertising business: "the most powerful element in marketing and advertising is the truth"

BTW, I own one of this cues and its a top cue!!!

The problem lies with the fact that nobody has asked Will directly if he makes these from scratch or not, i dunno if anyone has his contact details but it'd be interesting to see his take on it.

it sort of his business how he does it - he has never done the joints for example. if he is happy with the cues and prepared to put his name to them then we have to accept that.

Does sound very iffy though, that thread with him delivering cues and how the story changed a couple of times as to if he actually made them or not. Wouldn't mind knowing how long ago it was that it was accepted that he made the cues to it changing that he only does finishing work on them, possibly when hunt and osbourne split up?

There is another perspective to this in my view.

Although it's his right to deal with his business however he sees fit, it's also the right of potential buyers to ask questions of the product, such as "was it actually made here in the UK or not?" Any attempt to hide, withold or even lie about the truth of what the origins of such cues are is not on. Whether the cues being sold are totally excellent or not is somewhat irrelevant if the question is simply one of........... "ARE THEY MADE IN THE UK OR NOT.?"

My view on the whole thing is that it's about time that ALL those who use imported cues, no matter to what extent, should say so openly, and should CERTAINLY NOT shy away from answering questions on such matters. If more and more are seen to be doing this, and keeping quiet on it simply to cash in on any reputation they have, then it tarnishes other UK makers who have no such involvement in those practises.

I won't be holding my breath on anyone coming forward though.

That's what i mean Jim . If you are buying squares then you are making the cue yourself ......a UK Cuemaker .
