Joe Davis Champion Cue world snooker record 2501 ash stamped 17oz great condition, hardly looks like its been played with. not quite sure what the butts made from, a light brown wood?? Apparently the guy who owned it died in 1975 and it stayed in its case after that! Not to sure about that story though, guy just wanted extra £ for it i think

I offered him £50 for the 2501 but he didn't even bother to reply with a 'no thank you'

50 is a bit light for a handspliced jd 2501 cue.

I don't have a clue what cues are worth (other than my MW which is back with Mike for adjustments) so I looked on FleeceBay and one with a case sold for £55 and others with a higher start price remain unsold.
If tho OP had answered my PM he may well have sold it to me (albeit for more) and with anything for sale be they be a £4k Rolex or fifty quid cues you don't generally offer a high price or pay the asking unless it is rarer than than a lawyer who can't stand the sight of money.
Maybe the OP should have put what he wanted for them? ....as asking for offers don't usually grab my attention.

all this answered without the need to quote!

                    4 Cues For Sale

The cue you mentioned had a damaged butt and front splice. The 2501 might not be worth what it was 5 years ago but it's worth a lot more than £50, you wouldn't get a reply from me with that offer either.

I work 14hr days and don't spend the other 10 on my pc! I replied to you within a day which I don't consider to shabby? . Anyway cues still up for grabs. ADR147 are you after all three jd cues? I know you know what they are worth, you have helped me out with pricing cues before. Sensible offer takes all three. I also have a Jason Owen sinbin cue that I will post up if there is any interest.

Lee, I mistakenly thought you had read my PM soon after I had sent it as it seemed to have disappeared from my 'sent' box. It was the following day I posted my comment ...hey ho, :apologetic:
