  • eBay ****** COUTTS CUE For Sale ********

    Hi Guys

    The Coutts specs are:
    58", 9.3mm tip, 18oz, 29.2mm butt, 3/4 joined @ 12", stiff shaft with 3 really nice arrows.
Price: 500GBP + postage (no swaps or part exchange)

This Coutts was purchased from a fellow forum member. I ended up having a new cue butt MADE BY DAVE COUTTS with a single-splice of Amboyna burl. I have decided to keep the plain ebony cue butt that was originally made for this cue. The shaft you see is a genuine Coutts hand-planed ash shaft.
The cue has been re-grained and refinished by Dave Coutts, so it’s virtually a brand new Coutts cue.
I have only used the cue a few times but still preferring to go back to my old cue. This is a really nice cue for someone else I’m sure. Apparently, the cue was originally made for stuart carrington (now a professional player).

    Thanks

It amazes me to see cues like this not selling at such a good price. Seven years ago you'd have to pay more than double for a new cue of similar quality in Australia.
          Tear up that manure-fed astroturf!

£500 for 12" butt jointed is CHEAP. I think £250 without extensions sounds nice. Also this spirlock joint is not a good joint to have on the cue. Some of the cue makers Robert Osborne, Will Hunt use this joint for the extensions only SD joint. I had Robin cook cue with the same joint and have to change for john parris joint as it was getting loose to often and make funny sounds when hitting the cue ball. No disrespect but i cant see you selling this cue for this kind of price. With extensions £350 max.

Lol my cues potting without aiming. About nerves its called balls, shame you dont have them. Dave coutts 12" butt jointed for £500 is a joke, common man i sell ultimates top notch cues with waiting list one year plus. My ultimates not the same as others. They have 18 ct gold joints and diamond ferrule.

Who made the replacement butt that you are selling with the original shaft?

Actually for some reason I was thinking $500au when I made my post, not 500 pounds.

But I'd have more confidence in this than a JP Ultimate from Fedia.
