eBay Robert Osborne Red Plate?

Hi folks,

Looking for a bit of help here. I recently bought a John Taylor and Sons Snooker/Billiard Table and with it came a variety of paraphernalia which included several cues. There was one that stood out and I have attached the pictures of it. It is a 3/4, 9mm tip, 19.5 oz, 58 inches long and plays great. I really like it and am considering using it instead of my trusty Peradon for snooker anyway.

However, after a bit of digging online about these cues it has been difficult to work out how much it is worth. Not that I am considering selling it right now anyway - it would be nice to have some kind of idea. If not just to make the total outlay for the table etc a bit more acceptable in the eyes of the wife!

Appreciate any help offered on this!

An early Badged Osborne cue . My mate has one virtually identical .

Going to say 15 years old + .

As for price.......i will let the dealers advise .

Thanks for that. It was really wierd because I wouldn't have thought anything of it until I played with it, it felt really nice. It was only when I got home and had a wee look that I found that Robert Osborne has such a great rep. I had heard of Parris, Woolridge etc but not Osborne...

He is up there with the best in my opinion.........but then again i'm very biased

The flat rate for that cue is £265 but all Roberts cues
Are very sought after these days!
And as Neil says thus is an older one!
Probs worth between £300-£400 in my opinion
But you'd be surprised how much they can go for in china!
My advice would be to keep hold of it!

What other cues did you get in the package?
What is the scoreboard? an old G.Wright lifepooler?

No other cues of note lol! Rackers etc. However, there was a John Taylor and sons table iron which is worth a bit I believe and the scoreboard appears generic in that I can't see a make or mark on it. Further investigation required!

Room not up to scratch yet mores the pity as I can't wait to play on my new table! I am converting an 8m x 8m garage into snooker/pool room as we speak. Once it is done I'll fire on a few pics!

I see you have added pictures to the "Pictures of your cue" thread, cool.
The cue is a Hunt & Osborne green, not a Robert Osborne cue that this thread is about.
I am sure people will be very interested in the H&O as they are highly rated.
The TW is also very nice as well
