  • Wanted One piece Ash cue

I've had a quick look on the forum at whats currently for sale. One or two cues have caught my eye, however i'm keeping my options open for the moment. Below are my ideal specifications.

    Style - One Piece
Shaft - Ash (nice straight chevrons and dark grain)
Butt Timber - Ebony or Padauk
Splices - Something simple not overdone
    Length - 57"
    Tip - 9.5mm
    Weight - 17.5oz
    Butt - 29mm

Specs are not set in stone. However I won't deviate from what I listed by an awful lot. Price wise i'm hoping to spend less than £300. However I can add a little more for something special. Any make of cue will be considered. A butt joint is also a must. If you're looking to offer me one without a butt joint then my budget will be something small like £150. And even that would be pushing the boundaries.

I've already spoken to Raymo. One of his cues for sale I was inerested in, but the shaft wasn't quite what I wanted.

Sounds to me like the cue Jason Owen made for me would be ideal for you (although mine is maybe a little heavy). If you look through his thread or on his website it's cue 055.

A butt joint will hardly cost £150 to have added to a cue...

Anyway, your own decision at end of the day.

I never said it would. However, it would mean postage to me, then off to someone too do the work, and then back to me. Also it would be altering the cues original feel and most likely would also alter the weight of the cue. If I wanted to go down that route I would have one made. Which was my initial plan. However I want to get a new cue rather soon as my current playing cue is beyond repair. I was hoping to get a cue for less than £300 so i'd have some left over for both a case and extensions. Even better would have been a cue that came with extensions, but I don't feel my budget is well set for that.

If you mean the shaft wasnt quite what you wanted visually, ill tell you 150 quid will not buy you a cue with 10 evenly spaced perfect chevrons....or anything like that. If you meant the stiffness, then i understand you.
