Or even a new custom cue from some other maker, since the amount we are looking at is this.
I mean it could happen to be the perfect cue for somebody out there that simply like how it plays and don't mind the aesthetics. How much would you pay for a perfect cue? When life gives you lemons, don't make lemonade. Make life take the lemons back. GET MAD!!

Well done and you have taken some flak on here, a bit cruel.
However, you need to consider why you're sending it to be repaired as for re-sale value it is still damaged goods and not original, unless you're thinking of selling it 'as new' if the repair can completely hide the damage. If you advertise as 'damaged and repaired' I'd be surprised if you get an offer of a couple of hundred for it but if you're going to keep it as a playing cue as it plays so well and are doing it for aesthetic reasons, fair enough.
It may go for more as the internet and people always surprise but the old saying "don't throw good money after bad" always goes, particularly if it is a good playing cue.
Good luck anyway.

I agree with you about the technique part and being able to play with most cues.
