  • eBay ****Hunt & O'bryne Black Plate****

    ******SOLD*******

Not long purchased, was gonna save it for collecting but cash shortages force sale.

Was originally made for Tony Meo in the 1980's.

just been back from dave coutts who has altered tip from 11mm to a 10mm.
also altered the weight to 18 onz. which are much better playable snooker specs.

he has given it a full clean, polish and re oiled. looks brand new

Since Dave is now in contact with Will Hunt he has got a letter of authenticity for the cue, stating when made and who for etc with his signature.

    serious offers

id say stiff with little give, dave informs me that it was lead weight in the butt, so some was taken out. so weight was reduced

With all that ebony i would not have thought there would be any need for lead ! The cue should have been natural'y heavy anyway.

A friend of mine has an H&O maple black plate. It's about 20 years old and has that beautiful aged look to it.
The bitter taste of poor quality remains long after the sweetness of low price is forgotten.

Have you got any photos since the work was done? Also where is the balance point on the cue?

Yes I see the difference Andrew - mine has a much longer screw coupling as well, it's never the less a very good cue, I will not part with it, probably not even for £1k given it's history and the length of time I've owned it.
