Hi All
On 31st January this year, at the grand old age of 42, I was sadly diagnosed with terminal lung cancer. It has been a devestating time for myself, my wife and my 4 children but life must go on when I am no longer here.
I decided to write a "bucket list" of things to do before I die. The first one being the biggest party Liverpool has ever seen. At first it was going to be just that, a party, but my extended family have now decided to make it a fundraiser for my wife and children as I am the only breadwinner in our household. I have now embraced the idea and am trying to raise as much money as possible in the time I have left. This will most likely be the last time I can "earn" an honest crust for my family.
I E-Mailed Mike Wooldridge to ask if there was anything he could donate to my cause. Without hesitation, he has donated a brand new snooker cue. Mike is in the process of making the cue at the moment so I am unsure on spec/weight etc etc so please dont ask!
On the night of the party, guests will be asked if they would like to place £5 in a envelope with their name and phone number/address clearly written on an enclosed piece of paper. At the end of the night, one envelope will be selected and the winner will receive the cue.
I would like to offer all my TSF friends the opportunity to win this superb cue.
If you would like the chance to win the cue, please pay £5 via "paypal gift" to fred.england@sky.com clearly stating your name/address and phone number. I will then include your details in a sealed envelope on the night.
I have been in regular contact with Mike over the last few weeks and I'm sure that at some stage he will verify the legitimacy of this post.
I really cannot thank Mike enough for his generosity. We all know how busy Mike is so to make this kind of gesture has humbled me beyond words. Thanks Mike.
Finally, I would like to thank you all for taking the time to read this post.
Thank you and god bless
Fred England
Ps
I have just received a donation off raymo147 (exquisite cues Scotland) who kindly donated a brand new cue which I have decided to include in the draw. So now you have the chance of either winning a brand new Mike Wooldridge cue or a brand new Exquisite cue. As soon as I receive the cue off Mike I will post all the specifications.
Thank you again and best of luck to all of my TSF friends.
