You don't always know what personal stuff people go through and in life i think we all just take part in it really and the the only thing we're in control of is how we deal with things when they happen, and i really admire the way Freds handling this.

Also with all the bad things that happen in the world these days, when you read this thread it restores your faith the kind way people have responded.........always hard to find the right words in these situations but the actions speak for themselves.

Couldn't agree more, this time of year I always get a treat because we get 2 months free council tax. This year i spent mine on a cue Jim was auctioning off, i say auctioning, there was only me bidding. I've never named a cue in my life, but this one will definitely be called Fred!
I would urge anyone to give what they can afford or get involved in some way, even if it's just a bump up every now and again! Lol

I thought it would be a good idea to update you all on the current donations and the money raised so far. I would firstly like to offer my heartfelt THANK YOU to each and every one of you for your kind, kind words and messages of support. I am humbled by people's generosity to my cause. Well here goes.

The total amount I have received as of 2000hrs today is £1049.

I am astounded at your generosity. My wife is amazed that total strangers have donated to our cause.

Wow, a cue named after me. Love it. A friend of mine has just informed me that when his son is born (sometime in July) his middle name is going to be Frederick.....honoured is an understatement. Brought a few tears to my eyes.

Also, there are some very talented IT bods on here, I'm sure one of them would happily design a flyer with your story and details of the raffle and how to donate, if you then email that to all that have donated we can put it out there and try and generate a bit more income?
