Not the first ther's a couple on ebay. Not the nicest piece of maccasar ebony ive seen. Picture 3 does't look to good. Perhaps it looks better up close. Almost Parris prices. Must be good quality, sure someone will buy it.

I think Will was refering to 1st Snooker spec cue. Ebay ones currently look pool spec .

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion I'm sure, but I think it looks good. Then again, I like froggy as well . .

Yes, I meant snooker specs. I own the very first cue he ever made as a matter of fact, pool specs though . Personally from my experiences with Parris cues Crispian makes a cue which is easily on par with Parris if not better.

Ps: I think it's quite a nice looking piece of maccasar and Parris would probably charge a bit more than Crispian wants for this cue.

Yes 13.3 oz, if I remember correctly it was about £180. You've got a good memory mate lol. Yeah, not sure what the numbers went up to but it's not many. Should be a collectors piece if Crispian carries on delivering the lovely cues he does :snooker:

Sexy looking cue you've got there Cris, don't think it should be around too long mate.

As for JP prices, as far as I know, from the top makers, most ebony butted cues from start upwards of £350 on average, with a premium for macassar and a surcharge for maple too. Fair price IMO

its the pricing that pisses me off mate, a dozen cuemakers in the uk all with different prices, different mortgages, different life
styles ect, my prices are always going to be near someones, but that makes little difference to the big picture mate

some guys wont get out of bed in the morning for less than £100 others would be up like a shot for a £5 !

no ofence to any trade men on here, there must be 5,000 plumbers in the uk surly ? and i can assure you that each and everone
of them will be earning triple what i will be this year, and good for them too

Sensitive little flower arnt you. If you will all use the forum as tho its ebay to sell your wares then you must expect negative comments at times besides the positive ones. Some of your cues look fantastic just didnt like that one much. Just my personal opinion. Others will disagree.

as the post states i dont expect everyone to like every cue, it is impossible, it is the compring prices that bugs me

maybe im a little sensitive flower as you say but i honestly thought prices are for customers ????

You're well within your rights to comment or criticise and give opinions on this cue but Crispian is also well within his right to respond and defend himself on here. The man hours put into a cue as well as the cost of woods, machinery, oils, ferrules, tips, joints etc. makes this pricing totally fair and without taking this thread even further off topic than it already is I think that Crispian will have put much more care and attention into this then John Parris himself will have put into any cue in the last 10 years, making Crispian's pricing reasonable comparatively. I've heard how much money Crispian's put into his cue making career and I think that he is a little sensitive, perhaps because he's so passionate about it and his pricing, IMO, isn't unfair whatsoever.

But it's a forum, it's not a free site to advertise your 'business' - im sure TSF used to have some kind of rules if you wanted to do that but can't find them.. I understood the for sale section was for private sellers.

If you want to use a forum to flog your products then people are entitled to comment on your prices too without your effing and jeffing at them - which I'm certain is against the rules!
