  • eBay Mike Wooldridge raffle winners

    Hi all,
Firstly I would like to thank everyone for your kind, kind words. The night was an amazing success and everyone who was at my party had a great time. Over 400 people were in attendance and proceeds raised on he night was over £4000. I am astounded at people's generosity to my cause and for that I can only offer my sincere thanks.

The lucky winners of the cues are as follows.

Mike Wooldridge cue..........Dan Oxtoby via TSF
Trevor White cue.......won on the night by a guest (Roy Whitfield)
Jason Owen cue guru No105........Kevin Wong via TSF
Exquisite cue............John Ohara via TSF, John kindly stated that if he won the cue I was to auction off on the night. The cue was sold for £150 to a guest. Thank you John, you are a star.
LG (Mike Russell cue)........won on the night by a guest (Peter Barker)
    Craftsmen cue..........Matthew steer via TSF
Phoenix cue..........won on the night by a guest (Jamie Loftus)

What has pleased me more is that the cues were won evenly between guests and TSF members.

Thank you all for your amazing support. TSF really is a lifeline for friendship and fun times. With our deep seated love for our glorious game we stand together as one.

I am away on a weeks holiday from tomorrow so I won't be online for a week but heartfelt thanks to each and every one of you.

The cues will be posted out tomorrow morning so the winners should receive them by Tuesday/Wednesday

Thank you all and god bless

                        Hi all,

Just thought I would give you an update on my progress and treatment. I've had my 3rd session of chemotherapy and am not dealing too good with it. It's just so hard. I feel sick 24/7 and so weak. But hey, I'm still alive so it's not all bad. I have another session on 18th april and then the dreaded MRI scan to see if the chemo has slowed things down a little.
On a brighter note, this Thursday 4th April, I get to play the legend Steve Davis. He is in Liverpool for an exhibition match celebrating the 30th anniversary of our snooker club. I really cannot wait. Even better, Steve has arranged for me and my son to be his special guest for the day at the crucible later in the month. The exact day is to be confirmed but I don't care if I'm on my last legs, I WILL get there. This offer by Steve is just something you cannot buy. My heartfelt thanks go to Geoff Scott (owner of "George Scott's Snooker club") in Liverpool who arranged this for me.
I will let you know what date I will be in Sheffield and if any of you are around we can maybe meet up for a drink and a chat.

                        Fred xxxxxx

Sorry to hear the chemo is making you feel rough mate but so pleased that you get to meet and play against " the nugget" .
Good luck with the MRI results, I will be thinking of you.

                            Hi Fred,

I'm fairly new to TSF although have been a member for some time and just not used the site. I have just been reading your thread and the amazing night you had and support you have received from everyone.

The thread is extremely touching and it seems like everyone thinks very highly of you. I just wanted to tell you that you are extremely brave, positive and although face a tough fight it sounds like you are more than up for it. My misses is in recovery and had the chemo and she felt exactly the same. I truly hope it all goes well for you mate and if you give Steve Davis the same sort of fight you are giving your illness then the Nugget doesn't stand a chance!

All the very best for the future mate.

                            Best wishes

                            Chris
