  • eBay Cue Raffle £10 - Greenbaize One Piece Ash w/extensions

Hi members. I haven't had much luck selling my two Greenbaize cues and so have decided to try a cue raffle for it. I have messaged ferret and he is OK with me having a go.

    What someone will win:

Cue #2 from this page: http://www.thesnookerforum.co.uk/boa...-One-Piece-Ash.

    Extensions: included
Shipping: INCLUDED worldwide up to 100 CAD. If there is an additional fee above 100 CAD, winner will pay the difference.

    How it works:

    1. Reserve your spot in the list below by sending paypal gift payment of £10 (10 British pounds) to sales@fullmotiongroup.com. This page will be updated with your bid. PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU SEND ME YOUR TSF USERNAME IN THE PAYPAL PAYMENT.
    3. When all spots are chosen, the winner will be chosen at random using randompicker.com
    4. If there are not enough bidders in the next 60 days, all gift payments will be returned to you
    5. If someone wishes to purchase the cue direct at full price (see link above), this raffle will be closed and payment returned to all bidders.

See the results of your participation and the draw here:

I doubt you will fill this for two reasons, raffles only work as people usually don't mind losing an amount if it's for a good cause, lastly odds of 35/1 with a £10 stake won't appeal to the majority. Though I hope you good luck as it's not fully improbable...
Don't let the fear of losing be greater than the excitement of winning...

In addition, the giver now gets charged a PayPal fee for making a gift. Again, no biggie if it's for a large amount or for a good cause but with the potential of refunds are you planning or refunding the full amount inc. PayPal fee? If not all the ticket purchasers could be out of pocket if you sell to someone else while the raffle is underway or if the cue doesn't sell due to all tickets not being purchased.

Isnt it possible to buy a brand new Green Baize cue for that sort of money anyway over here?

over a hundred pounds cheaper and agree with the odds/price being wrong, a tenner at 35/1 for a cue that probably wouldn't make 175 on ebay but good luck anyway, maybe that guy that sold the 'special' black plate may be interested

It seems to have changed very recently & it depends on how you send it gives 2 options one for purchases, the other for friends and family if you gift the payment using friends & family option from paypal balance or your bank i'm sure its still free, if you fund it via debit/credit card then you pay a fee.

You can't buy this cue plus both extensions for 100 pounds cheaper than the seller is asking from greenbaize.

Either you pay a charge or the gift receiver does - I noticed when I was donating to Fred.

It's no longer free for gift payments to friends & family, one of you has to pay a fee now.

Not sure if it depends on how your paypal account is actually set up but as long as you select friends & family option and use funds in your paypal balance or direct from your bank its still free for both sender and receiver, you only pay a fee as the sender using this method if you pay by debit/credit card.
As always if using the purchase option seller pays the fees.

Mines is funded from my bank and I was given the option of paying a fee or the receiver paying a fee when using that option the last time I used it.

Yeh you cover the fee which is £0.00
Trust me its just the new wording on PayPal that is confusing, I sent £50 to a friend today and chose the option for me to cover fee but the fee was £0.00 because my paypal is set up from my bank not a credit card.
                          77 in a match, 97 in a line up

There is some confusion here thats what i meant by saying it might depend on how your accounts set up basically there are different methods of bank funding on paypal ie debit card or instant transfer, if you pay by debit card from your bank account then you would pay a fee, and thats when it gives the option for sender or receiver to pay fee, if paying by instant transfer via your bank you wouldn't pay a fee, hope this makes sense.
