I've never heard of Keith Auld, anyone know anything about this brand? Bold statement to say the least...
Don't let the fear of losing be greater than the excitement of winning...

Plenty of cuemakers about who produce better than parris ultimates. Hardly a bold statement.

I'm not a big John Parris fan, but being pessimistic it sounds like just a marketing ploy comparing to what many believe is the best you can buy, not me for the record as I think they're massively overpriced.

Keith was a forum member a few years back here but he became the butt of many peopes jokes and subsequently left this forum.

Used to have a shop in Wimbledon . Robert Osborne worked there for a few months .

I believe that he has a shop down by the south coast .

Tony Meo used a Keith Auld cue .

I bought my 1st cue from him about 25 years ago .

I believe the problem was the quality of the cues being made and sent out to TSF members and subsequently disappearing from communication with the customers, owing money and cues.
              Up the TSF! :snooker:

I read through a lot of cue threads when I was trying to decide on a good cuemaker. Keith Auld seems to have a poor reputation around here, although some people are happy with his work.
Oh, and that's a bad miss.

I suppose like all lesser known makers, they can produce some great cues and some rather sh!t cues, i'd still avoid him if members have had trouble with him in the past...

                      Hi Dean ,

I must admit that i thought it was very good . Cost me about £130 at the time . Just plain ebony cue with the joint very low down on the shaft . Regret selling it .

I believe Keith had a bit of ill health when he had a few issues with the quality of his cues .

Would like to see what they are like now

Keith Auld, Dan Shelton and PoolQJunkie had fairly similar stories. They all promoted themselves as professional cuemakers, took a lot of orders (showing just how many desperate cusomers are really out there) then dissappeared ....

But the collective memory of TSF is very short, and a number of people rely on that fact.
                        Tear up that manure-fed astroturf!
