    So I bought this cue off my mate but I can't get on with it, going to use the money as part payment for a new cue.

      That's a really interesting shaft. I've never seen one where there are only chevrons on about half of the shaft.
      Oh, and that's a bad miss.

              No. He retired last August, much to my dismay and even after much begging, he wouldn't make me a one off :P haha

                  Would have been in his 60's, had a bad back which he suffered on with for years, but towards the end a couple of hours on the lathe meant a couple of days in bed recovering! Shame really because he was only just receiving the recognition he deserved?
                  No one is listening until you make a mistake!

                    I thought he was younger, never did get the recognition he deserved, ive seen a few of his cues and they are up there with anything ive seen, shame really...
