So you are still hanging onto the George, a wise decision. I"m thinking the same as you. I have a Will Hunt black plate, a Hunt & O'Byrne and 2 Osborne along with other less collectable cues and I won't be parting with them just yet.

I have 2 HUNT & O'BYRNE's, 2 WILL HUNT's, Early Robert Osborne, HUNT & OSBORNE(019) all Blackplate's. Raymond Cohen(Blackplate standard) 3 JPU's, JP Paragon, JP Special, TW, Crispian Jones, Dave Coutts, Tony Glover, Maximus, Only way i would sell is if someone bought the lot as a collection. And for a lot of cash

You need to stick a 1 in front of the price for the Hunt & Osborne Blackplate i reckon and probably 250 - 500 on each of the H & O's .

Do you have to insure these separately ? By that I mean apart from normal household insurance.

I wouldn't mind any of those cues but surely there's only so many times you can look at them to appreciate them, where I'd love to count out 12k in notes every night.

Do people play with these cues?, I would be petrified to take a two grand cue down the club, even though nothing has ever happened to one of my cues, I still couldn't enjoy myself as I wouldn't be able to relax. I suppose it depends if two grand is a lot of money to you, if it's like me shelling out one hundred for a replacement, then it probably won't bother you, if you don't use them, what's the point in them?

I usually play with those cues . Never had problem .
There's a lot of people use cues cost more than 5 grands especially 9 ball billiard players .
