  • eBay Hunt & O'Byrne cue Ash 1 piece original condition

Hunt & O'Byrne Cue 1 Piece in Original condition

Cue Length: 58 1/16" to end of ferrule
    Weight: 18.3 Ounces
    Tip Size: 9.5mm
    Balance point: 17.5"
    Butt Diameter: 26mm

The cue has a very slight bend which could easily be straightened by a good cuemaker, it has 9 nice forward facing arrows with the butt plate facing up in your hand.
The side grain on both sides is very straight and with the butt plate facing down there are 4 reverse arrows.
I will include an ali case in the sale to protect the cue in transit.
This is a very rare opportunity so please sensible offers!

If a cue is a custom order, it will be made to the specification requested!

          Nice looking cue .

The butt looks a lot squarer than the majority of H & O Cues that I've seen .

Original buyer may have asked for this . Any idea ?

Good luck with your sale .

i would suggest the cue has been extended and doctored heavily.

I agree with ADR on this cue. I also doubt it was originally a 26mm butt and has been modified

The cue has not been altered in anyway it is exactly the way it was made.
The design is exactly the same as the one on the front page of the Robert Osborne's Website, these have passed from Hunt & O'Byrne - Hunt and Osborne and now to Robert Osborne.
Can you do the decent thing and provide the proof that the cue has been doctored!

all cue designs are common to all cue makers it is not a robert osborne passed down thing!

well the cue with that badge would have been made in the mid 1980s' most would have had no flats at all unless a special order because that was the way jimmy's cue was - when they had flats they were different and shorter than this one. not many people would ever buy a £450 cue in the 80's and then spend £100+ having 4 splices added to it in ebony unless they needed to lengthen it. the fashion has never been to have a cue but at 26mm it would be rare now and anything under 30 would have been extremely odd prior to the 1990's.

Have a look at the bottom of this H & O Cue . More rounded at the base .

I believe Andrew's knowledge on cues, specially famous cue brands. What I read here seems to be reasonable.
