I bought this cue from a semi pro snooker player who used to be a practice partner of Mark Selby. The cue was personally handmade for him by John Parris around 2008/9 and is one of the best Parris cues that I have ever seen and believe me I have seen a lot!!
The cue specs are as follows:-
Length - 58in long to top of ferrule
Ferrule - 9.5mm
Butt - 30mm
Balance Point - 17in
Weight - 18.8oz
The cue was specially made as a 3/4 joined ash and the ash used is one of the best shafts its possible (in my opinion) to have on a cue. Straight side grain with the most perfect 6 arrows in line with the last arrow about 7in from the tip, which is exactly as Ronnie O'Sullivan now uses. The cue is absolutely arrow straight and about as good a cue as its possible to make. The splicing is absolutely perfect!!
The only reason that I am selling this cue is that for the last year (a world record for me!!) I have been using an old cue that is 17oz weight and I prefer that weight.
This Parris cue comes with a mini butt and a Cuecraft case in excellent condition and the price that I am looking for is exactly what I paid for it which is £500 exactly. I would also prefer a UK sale.
Please feel free to ask any questions and I will answer as quick as I can.
I am an Oldgit and am not sure how to post pictures so have sent some to Andrew Ramsay who has kindly offered to add them to this thread.
