that maybe so but that doesn't mean anything and totally irrelevant thats like saying pick a smartie out of a load of m&m 's ridiculous statement and nothing to do with what i think about a parris they are quality cues and suit me the best i have played with machine spliced, peradons, gbl, all sorts but parris suit my game best and feel comfortable so you are talking tosh! just because you have 300 cues doesnt make you an expert if we all liked the same would onlly have one cue maker in the world lol

each to their own like i am trying to explain to ADR but he only seems to think his opinion is right! you might be best used to trevor white or someone else's cue maker all about what feels good for individual

Its all about placebo effect, people who can't see beyond the name. if it works for him great but im with you nobody could ever pick a parris out of a whole bunch, it would be impossible.

My point was I have had shots with 4 Parris cues (mates cues) and didn't like them. The 5th one I pick up might be 'the one'. You say you have played with all makes but probably not tried multiple cues from the same maker to see if there is any difference.

I do have a TW and I love it. A mate has one and it feels completely different.

I'm just saying you can't just generalise and say one maker produces stiff cues, another makes whippy cues etc.

like i said to adr i do not need to pick a cue out of 300 what does that prove? ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!

I had a peradon a few months ago piece of rubbish but i wouldnt pick that out if blind folded! You need to think about the original statement they feel good to me its about the individual and what works for you couldnt win a game with peradon and that was because it was a rubbish cue and that is FACT.......when you start hitting a few balls you know if the cue suits you or not after a while it has nothing to do with the name could have JOHN SMITH on it if its good its good END OF

Parris also play better than any other cue!

no mate, being a professional cue dealer for 20 odd years makes me an expert! if you really believe that a parris cue suits you best then enjoy it, it gets boring for me to explain how silly that sounds but it's your money!

It's truly lost on some, why pay parris prices when there are other's that make as good if not better, it's a no brainer.

don't even think parris are expensive really, just the idea that one maker makes perfect cues that are better than another's is a bit of a joke!

A good quality cue makes your work easier, BUT he will not do the work for you. !!
If you can not drive a car, no matter if you have a new BMW M5, or 30 years old fiat. But if you can drive, you have more comfort with a new BMW.
Snooker is a psychological game. So, if you get with a Parris cue moor confidence and can play better, I wish you lots of high breaks.
In my opinion Parris cues between 1980 and 1990 were excellent. Especially when he made L8 shafts for the first time.
But there is no such thing as, the best snooker cue or cuemaker.

Anything they feel would be useful. Perhaps the advice that you have given to your friends who are looking for a new cue or anything you wish you had known earlier.

Quite a few threads seem to go the route that this one has gone down and it would be nice to have a thread to point people to. Maybe I am being too kind in saving people the forum searching that many of us have had to go through to understand enough to get by.
