Good question Gary - I think it is 28 but I use a 30 and it is smaller -which is popular I believe - The reason I dont know is how exactly do you measure the width of a butt - do you measure it at the end or the widest point or what?

Anyhow I think it might be sold - maybe - dont know having a cuppa - waiting.

And Les yeah forgive my humour - I had too much coffee today I think.

Just measure it at the end, won't vary much anyway. Measure it with a micrometer which i guess you don't have lol
28mm is VERY slim really, most cues are around 29.5 as standard
Ohh and have a close look at the badge, i can't see a Y in there

Well what the hell is a micrometer? - basically the butt width is standard size then - it is my own cue that is bigger and yes I spelt the name of the cue wrong sorry - John Parris with two R's Paragon is it? - late night - kids and all that jazz.

I never used it - it is nearly as new as the day Mr Parris made the bugger - no dinks sliks pinks rinks or problems of any kind -

Cant believe it is still here and not packaged off to someone ready to go under a Christmas tree. 600 posted no bidding wars no nonsense - do we av a Noel Edmonds someone?

As an engineer I can tell you that technically that is a vernier caliper

If you look, all the ones that look like the one in your pic they have vernier caliper first followed by micrometer in their title. A micrometer works on a spindle mechanism with a fixed null point. The vernier has linear movement with no stationary parts

. . and then the Metrologist would tell the engineer, that it's actually a digital caliper.

With a vernier caliper, the reading is taken from the vernier scales, and not a digital readout.

You could also use a dial caliper

The digital one only differs, as it has a digital read out, the vernier scale is usually still present.

Anyway, we're messing up Byroms thread, leave him to sell his cue. GL bud, if only it was a wee bit heavier
