Trevor its quite simple mate i am good friends with Tony and I also good friends with the Guy who had this Specially Made by Tony for him!

Trevor "NO YOU DEFINATELY DIDNT MAKE THIS ONE" as I will have the Certificate/Receipt from Tony tomorrow to Prove this was made by him, as to Pearwood donor shaft with Machine Splice I will ask him tomorrow. If its a Donor Shaft it would have had to be a Good One as i know hes a Fussy Bugger as some of you know and too be honest there is no difference in making the cue if he had a Ash Shaft from UK or Import he would still have to personally make this cue to right Specs with Butt work etc where the Real Costs/Work comes in as most of you would know.

What I have found strange how some people come out of the Wood work to try and Dish somebodys Post or 2nd Guess it. If you have a question about the Cue by all means ask if your Interested or private message me! But if your Not Interested why try and Ruin the Sale or Get involved.

Trevor i am abit suprised with some of your comments as I have known you for many years and bought alot of you mate and given you alot of custom, I cannot understand why you would right something like that on my Thread like im Lying! How does Gareth Know etc??......Never Mind.

    Cheers Gaz.

Gareth, calm down champ, I was curious, and am in no way looking to destroy anyone's threads or potential sale / sales.

To get things a little more accurate, things went something like this.....

I asked why anyone should KNOW FOR SURE it was made in its entirety by Tony Glover, and how that could be spotted.

JRC asked if I made it, and was the first to suggest it was perhaps a donor cue.

DeanH asked about the makers stamp, and I replied to that.

In post number 12, I clearly state I could be wrong on a number of fronts, but, if I was not wrong, and this was an older cue, then it's obviously NOT a cue made completley start to finish by Tony Glover. If that is the case, there's nothing rare about it at all.

Making a cue entirely, and, altering one to create something different to how it was originally are two different things. Is that not correct.?

Finally, I have not "come out of the woodwork as you say".....Haha, I loved that bit.

I am not looking to spoil this or any other sale either. Why would I be wanting to do that when it's of absolutely no significance to me. This was just something that caught my attention.

Anyway, I hope you sell the cue for a price you're happy with Gareth, and have no axe to grind or desire to fall out with you or anyone else, so good luck to you.

Did you come out of your workshop to write this Trev?

My favourite players: Walter Lindrum (AUS), Neil Robertson (AUS), Eddie Charlton (AUS), Robby Foldvari (AUS), Vinnie Calabrese (AUS), Jimmy White, Stephen Hendry, Alex Higgins, Ronnie O'Sullivan, Dominic Dale and Barry Hawkins.
        I dream of a 147 (but would be happy with a 100)

Trevor I am calm its just the Comments you put came across well lets just say not what i expected from you as a friend and somebody i have dealt with for many yrs as you know.

As you know aswell as some others Trevor it is Rare to get a Replica JP Mannock with Machine Spliced and Pearwood Shaft thats what I meant! Not that this is 150yrs old etc.....lol

Trevor I didnt mean you as i have heard a few others talking about this Cue elsewhere and trying to Slate it, If it was you i would say trevor as you know i am also a Straight Talking Guy!

I was shocked that you did comment on it mind and the way the comments went etc, as you dont post up much as i know your very busy and i sent somebody your email yesterday and Today! But if you read all comments back to yourself you will see for yourself, And as others say why do People comment on other peoples Posts when they are not Interested in any way. I wouldnt mind you or anybody else asking Via Private Message etc but the way the Replies came across was like i was Lying!!

Spoken to Tony Glover today regarding this Cue and he has told me this Cue Cost £550 from him with quite a long wait! Yes he said he has used a Donor Pearwood shaft on this but Selected the Right one which would look more like a Original Mannock which was a good one which we all know if you know Tony as hes very fussy fussy!
He said it would be £550 with a Selected Pearwood Donor shaft or £550 with a Newer Pearwood Shaft which he did say he prefers to use older ones for the Mannock if he can to get the Machine Splice to Look as Original as Possible as we all know normally he Makes Hand Splice Ones unless you Specially Ask for Machine Splice which then Donor Pearwood Shaft will be used as this was asked to be made more like Original as Possible. He said even if he uses a Ash Shaft he still Charges £550 with quite a long wait.

I do have Confirmation from Tony he made this Cue and the Price it would cost to Buy.

I am Not looking for £550! but I am Open to Sensible Offers and this Cue will be Sent Next Day Delivery with Insurance - Please Private Message me with Your Offers or email me: topgazza@aol.com

I may be interested in Part Ex depending what Cue it is and Spec!

            Cheers Gareth.

You have had a few lovely things up for sale but I have been put off because of you being 'Open to offers' is awkward for a buyer. As the seller you do know a price that you would be happy with so put it on the listing. It can't do any harm!

I always put a price on my sales as I noticed just how quickly certain sales are made when the original listing has a price. I think as a seller we can be scared of putting a price on and have people comment that it is too expensive but people seem to vote with their feet and move on.

Very true, not that I'm not one to ask over the odds for cues, if anything I only normally try to get back what I paid on a cue, if I sell due to it not suiting me, but some cues in the past I have paid far to much for so would come across that I'm trying it on, so thought best to say open to offers and just struck to it.

I think he means me MinnesotaSlim85!......lol

The Reason i put Open to Sensible Offers is........ You may have a Item worth £1000/£2000 but its Only Worth what somebody is really willing to Pay you for it. I have been in Sales for 25+yrs so know alittle regarding this.

Well consider me converted then and move on to the major high street and online retailers as they are definitely getting it wrong with putting a price all over the items in the shop. Also worth telling Autotrader too just so they don't get left behind as all those silly people trying to sell their cars/motorbikes/caravans arent doing themselves any favours either!

Good luck with the sale as its a fine replica none the less

                              No probs mate.

Why would the Price Suprise you mate? what tony said was his Handmade Mannock more Common too be honest as hes done quite a few of them but done very little Machine Spliced ones using Donor Shafts i think ADR147 was the Other he did one for and i cannot remember him doing any for anybody else as far as i know!
