  • Wanted in need of a cue mines due to flooding

Hi chaps I'm wondering if any of you can help me. I live in Yorkshire and for those of you didn't know some areas where flooded last Thursday mine been one of them because of this my cue and case are ruined I've been in contact with the home contents insurance and have been told they Carnt process a claim till Jan/feb as it is not a priority and the houses needed to be sorted first which is fair enough. So I need some help finding a cheapish handmade cue near my specs if possible looking for a 1 peice ash cue, 58/59 inches length tip 9.5/10mm case and extensions. Just so I can get my hand back on the table untill I've had a new one made.

    Thanks will

Hi Neil I'm posting on behalf of will as it will not let him reply he said he has tried several times but no joy . Any he has rang me and told me his budget is up to £100 as it shouldn't be a long term cue well unless he plays better than usual with it ha

Jim's right, would probably have something but I couldn't do it with extensions and case.

Theres a 58.5 inch james butters cue you might get for£100 if you are lucky on ebay right now... I would say get a quality case for extra because you can use the case for your next cue anyways.

in need of a cue mines due to flooding

                  unlucky this situation
Can I ask how bad is the old cue?
The cue could be resurrected. Allow it to dry naturally and it may just need a run down and a new tip.
Years ago a friend drove his car into what he thought was a small puddle - turned out to be a lake
Anyway the car was stuck for two days and his old 2pc was in the boot.
I was able to tidy it and he is still playing with it today.
Suffice to say, he stays away from puddles ever since

Just been on the phone with him, he said he can see what you all post just Carnt reply. He said he knows it's not Alot but he's skint at the minute. In Regards to been able to save the cue it's already skipped along with everything else. He has looked at a woods cue on eBay and wants to know if they are any good but would prefer buying on here if possible.

He's told me to thank you all for your suggestions

                          hungry things those skips!
my vote would be to take Jim up on his kind offer then wait for payout and get a new cue in the New Year.
