I've always thought it was the Registered Company Number for Burroughes & Watts Ltd. Hence it will be the same

Here you go Dean, taken from "cues n views"

"The Burwat Champion was the result of experimentation by the cue makers during the 1890s and the design was first registered in 1895/6. It proved to be one of the most popular cues that Burroughes & Watts ever sold and it was produced in three distinct editions."

So it looks as tho it is the design

If you're after a replica, Pete147 had a couple for sale, and I'm sure he was after half what this one's selling for!

***Unusual Burwat Champion replica for sale***

I believe it is the design patent number as they started in about 1916 with six digit numbers beginning with 100000

Not entirely sure what they registered though as there are some vatiations in the woods used

maybe so but you can still send him a PM.
at the top of your TSF screen (PC not phone) click on "User Control Panel".
On the left, "Send New Message", in the "Recipients" start typing the name you want to PM, the list of appropriate names will appear, select the one you wish
