      Unfortunately no.............

Spoke to JP himself yesterday, he said the wait is gonna be at least 6 more mths!! He hasn't even started selecting the shaft yet Apparently, most of the orders are JPU for the past years!!

Looks like this's gonna be the last JPU for me.

If he updates the delivery time info on his pages, I'm sure that will slow the orders down....and he should Because 3 years for a jpu is lunacy.

I agree but he's not going to turn away orders now is he!

I wonder if someone can have him for misleading customers though? I mean if you are knowingly misleading customers with waiting times I'm sure there is a consumer law about this.

I wonder how much ash is getting wasted searching through it all just to find 6 even chevrons and nice tight straight side grain....no wonder you have to wait for nearly 3 years for one. Did anyone notice Ronnie's cue the other week, the chevrons were all uneven most folk would not accept it as an Ultimate shaft but it seems to work for him...I think the cues should be sent out however they are finished as long as they play well then the waiting times would be a bit more reasonable

I doubt the ash gets wasted. I imagine the set up is like many cue makers in that they first grade the ash based on feel and how they think it will perform. After that it will be graded based on grain pattern, the best get put to one side for the Ultimate and other made to measure range, the rest will be used for the standard range.

Realistically all the shafts should have the same playing characterisitics, its just the top shafts will be more carefully selected and prepared.

I think the problem with JP is that he simply doesn't have the staff or premises to cope with demand, it really is a small workshop and he's being left behind now by the big quality set ups over in Thailand and some others too.
