  • eBay Snooker Glasses/Specs - GROUP BUY

Hi members. My cousin owns an eyeglass store. She has been in the optical business for 20+ years. I plan to take my snooker specs out to her this week to get them re-lensed. My existing pair are pretty good but the focus for them is not in the upper part of the lens (as they should be) and so when I'm down on the shot, I can't focus well with them.

I would like to get a list of members that are interested in purchasing a new pair of snooker spectacles. Will obviously require your prescription and various other measurements from you as well (pupil distance, etc).

I CANNOT guarantee that all prescriptions will be filled, but I will do what I can to get us all sorted.

Payment: payment will be made directly to her at the store, or through me here on the forum

Shipping: add necessary shipping costs as necessary. We are located in Vancouver, Canada

Price: I would assume that pricing will vary for standard short sighted vs multifocal etc. I will get back to you on that.

Frame: I will be speaking with her about this. I would assume a pair of standard reading glass frames will probably do the trick.

If you are interested please LEAVE A REPLY here and I will get in touch with you. I will be updating this thread with new information as I get it.

      Good idea!

Unfortunately I can't blame my eyes for my poor form.

My favourite players: Walter Lindrum (AUS), Neil Robertson (AUS), Eddie Charlton (AUS), Robby Foldvari (AUS), Vinnie Calabrese (AUS), Jimmy White, Stephen Hendry, Alex Higgins, Ronnie O'Sullivan, Dominic Dale and Barry Hawkins.
      I dream of a 147 (but would be happy with a 100)

Hi LB....would be interested also. I guess the frames would be like Dennis Taylor's, ie. like 3 inches high? Any idea of approximate cost?

I don't really know at this point Rob what frames she will suggest or have available or cost. I will be taking my existing frames there to see if I can get them sorted out. I will ask her about frames she can source.
