I’m not having much luck with this sale, looks like it’s going to end up as a rather good spare cue.

I know I’m asking a premium price but it is a premium cue.

I’ll just leave it on here, you never know!

You're spot on mate. If you don't need to sell it, don't sell it cheap.

No wonder every cues sold is either medium/stiff or firm..
One of my bugbears selling cues, unless you have a technical measurable scale it's just an opinion - which means absolutely nothing!
perpetualboredom, I couldn't agree with you more.... need to ask him again how he measure feel.... sweat...

MW cue usually very solid, it's down to the feeling... some people find it good while some just prefer otherwise... but still the wood is very very solid.

Yes. Time to start suspending them between two poles and hanging a 1k weight from the balance point to see how far it drops.

If it breaks it was too stiff. Or too whippy, or too dry.

LOL, Dott's cue wouldn't have survived that test . .

i agree with u that there is no technical measurable scale and its just an opinion on one view or feel. but i like to believe others opinion/ comment/ feedback. i believe it is important to me. It act as a guide for me whether the cue suit me . i have bought and try lots of cues before. just didnt want to get a cue doesnt suit me. i like the cue to go to someone who can use it better than i do rather goes to my spare cases . I LIKE 10/10 STIFFEST CUE WITH STRAIGHTEST ON BOTH SIDE )

                I like to use this gauge of a cues stiffness;
Hold the cue in your left hand at 18" from the tip with the butt on the floor, now with your right hand try and push the ferrule off line, how far it moves will give you a rough idea of how stiff a cue is. Some of my old whippy cues move maybe 25 mm, most modern cues only maybe 6 mm, a very stiff cue doesn't move at all.
                Give it a try

I got my misses to hold my shaft 18 inches from the tip and told her to give it a wiggle.

She said it was the stiffest she has ever seen

                            Hi cueless,

It's true, Mike charges 30 percent extra for custom made cues. The reason is not the quality of the shaft (because it is always good quality), but how the shaft looks. This cue is already b, used (maybe 1 time or 10 or ....).
mostly you can'nt get the price of the new one!!!. (Although I hope you do).
You kan better contact Andrew (ADR 147). He can tell you exactly How much you can get for this cue.
Anyway, I wish you good luck with the sale.
