Don't know when he started, but I was playing out of penge at the time and he just started making cues for steve davies. He had the cheque up on the side in the work shop---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

interesting cue - i sold one a few years back for £1300. i think you have the dates a bit wrong though it is a bit earlier than 88-89? don't quote me but i think it will be 86.

I agree with you Andrew although I think it is a little earlier . I think this because I once owned an 1986 John Parris Special and that is what the badge said. Unless John was using two styles of badge or was in transition between badges then I think the cue in the post may have been made earlier ( but not by much ) . The only person who can give a definitive answer is JP himself . Sorry for muddying the waters.

Hi guys.. When I bought this cue JP didn't makes ranges as far as I knew. Both myself, my cousin and another player from penge snooker club bought cues, all of them had the same white plate with John parris on it. When I spoke with JP last month his words were "I haven't seen one of those for years!" So he knew exactly what I was talking about. You maybe right with 86, but it's a little early as I was only 17. I thought I was at least 18 !!
