As per John explanation , reason being it cost £450 is that the shafts for limited edition cues undergo same selection criteria and manufacturing process as ultimate/paragon cues hence higher price than standard £250 shaft . Although some well known cue makers would probably beg to differ and would not charge that much for the replacement / alternative shaft.

Could I ask how much the cue was brand new? I would say it's reasonable to say the shaft is the most important part, now I haven't got a clue if it's £400 important, but if it's a £600 cue, I would say £75 quoted by JRC is a bit optimistic lol.This is how you play darts ,MVG two nines in the same match!
