    ***1pc Maple - Joe Davis Champion 147 Cue***

    Hi all,

    Up for sell I have a very nice Joe Davis Champion 147 Cue in great condition, having been totally refinished, so no dents or scratches to be seen and is dead straight...It has a machine spliced Rosewood butt, with maple front splice, stiff, super smooth, aged dark golden shaft, nice playing cue.

    The specs are as follows

    Length 58"
    Tip 10.8mm
    Butt 30.6mm
    Weight 16oz (stamped)
    Balanced at 17"

                  Because he doesn't know what he's talking about the cues well worth the price plus delivery was included it looks in superb condition I used to play with a cue exactly the same as this one for years until I had it radically altered big mistake.it was the same model same spec only 17oz when I get it if it doesn't feel right for me I will drop you a pm gazza147 but dont hold your breath I can see myself playing with this for some time

                      Well without backing up your statement it did sound like you were trying to cause bother, why do you think price was too high then ??? seems very cheap to me

                            I do to it looks top I love the older maple cues especially when they turn deep gold in colour dont like new white maple at all

                              Why does everything have to be an argument these days.
                              Both are right in their own way, it definitely would be a good price to sell a JD147 for given the average prcie they make, but this might be a very good example. All Leo said was the seller had done well, I agree - no need to jump on him for that comment.
                              On the other hand according to Gordon Radford price whatsimebob, one sold for £195(!) so by comparison it was a bargain!
                              If the buyer and seller are both happy, where's the sense in arguing?
