*** Superb Tom Newman Facsimile 1370 break cue ***

Very very nice Tom Newman 1370 break Champion Cue, this is the much rarer Facsimile model, in superb condition, you will be lucky to find another in as good a state.
The following info taken from Cue Collector website

It has an ash shaft hand-spliced onto an ebony butt with a paduke frontsplice.

This cue commemorates Tom Newman's third world record billiards break.

The break was made during November 1924 in a match against Willie Smith at Burroughes Hall in London.

This break exceeded Tom Newman's own previous world record of 1274, made in December 1922.

Tom Newman's highest break was 1827, made against Walter Lindrum in March 1931.

This cue is likely to have been manufactured by Peradon & Co in the period from 1924-1930.

    Specs: 57 3/4", 10.3 ferrule, stamped 17 oz, 30.5 butt, 15 3/4" balance point.
Cue is straight and a good player.
    Make an offer !

Hi Gaz, everythings always for sale lol

Joe Davis black plate special is 57 1/2", 10.5 ferrule, stamped 17 oz, 30 butt, 17 1/2" balance point. This one is really nice so not the cheapest, maybe £90 delivered would see it go.

Burwat Champion is 58", 10.85 ferrule, stamped 16 oz, 30 butt, 16 3/4" balance point. Nice example and a player, £185 delivered

A very nice clean version of the signature facsimile Champion Cue.
Would you say this is rarer or more common than the B&W's (I think) printed name cue for the same record break?

I meant it is rarer then the usual 1370 break cue also by Peradon, see pic below, the B&W would be rarer, but can't find a pic

The burroughes & watts is a lot more rarer or if you can find Tom Newman 1024, 1274 & 1814.

Come to think of it, did B&W make a 1370 break cue ???

yep, seen this one as well.

The following 1370 I thought was B&W but it is very similar - font, layout as the first cue you posted, so it could also be Peradon, ?

then there is this one, the 1274 which is definitely B&W

(Leo, was this one you were thinking of?)

According to Cue Collector site, the earlier breaks were by B&W, the 1370 breaks by Peradon, no mention of 1814 break tho as mentioned by Leo ?

I use photobucket and copy the IMG code to display the image, and not the TSF Attachments feature.
