Phoenix Supreme cue Customized by Dave Coutts

Hi all! decided to sell one of my cues! This cue is a Dave Coutts Customised cue. The cue is a top of the range Phoenix Supreme cue which cost 300 then i decided to have 4 splices of thuya burl at the base. Dave did an outstanding job as he always does. Included is a solid ebony mini butt and 2 different sizes of extendable extensions which would cost a total of 72 on top of the price of the cue.
The cue is as new condition and in my opinion Phoenix make an outstanding playing cue! I think as good or better than any Parris cue out there. Don't let the length put you off Dave Coutts can shorten a cue for only 25. The specs are:
    1 piece 59.5"
    10mm Tip
    18.5 oz
    31mm butt
    Ash shaft
Ebony Butt with four splices of Oak and Four further splices of Fantastic Thuya Burr.
SD joint in the base to take all the extension included.
    Price is 300 ono

    List Date: 7/14/2014

I think it was the Jason Owen style of the exclamation mark that pointed the brain to "all" instead of "one" !!!!!!!

Can I know what's the different between the "Dave Coutts Customized" & "Dave Coutts Hand Made" ?
Just to double confirm that what I know is correct ~~~~

Customised is basically a Thai cue bought in where Dave finishes it off where a handmade one is totally made by himself. But let's be honest there's nothing stopping any cuemaker bringing In a Thai cue and sticking handmade on it as we will never know

From my reading of the first post:

                    Les bought a Phoenix Supreme.
                    Les wanted to add splices.
Les sends to Dave Coutts for customisation.
Dave Coutts does the work and adds a "Customised by" badge.

This is not a "DC buys in loads of Thai cues and just finishes them off" scenario and sells them as his own.
                    correct?
                    Up the TSF! :snooker:

Should I say ~~~ Not necessary must be a Thai cue, it can be any cue that been altered or modified by Dave & Dave then put his badge on, right ?

Yes it signifies a cue that Dave has done an amount of work on. I have had two come to me in trades in recent weeks, one was an older weight stamped cue and the other was a originally a Phoenix that had both had splice work and butt joints. Ultimately it is Dave's name and he can choose to badge however he likes, in fact I remember a thread on here where Dave had chosen not to put a customised badge on a cue despite several requests from the owner to do so.
