Having that badge on it suggests either real or a replica! You really are hard work

Here you go Byrom, don't you think you should apologise??

Well maybe I was wrong about it being made by Tony Glover - I did say I doubted it - because I wondered who would be daft enough to buy a replica cue that looks **** all like the very thing it is supposed to replicate - I thought Glover might point this out to the buyer before making it.

Guy goes to buy a car "You know yeah mate I want a that Ferrari F40 but before you do that please put a full XR3i body kit on it - oh yeah but leave that badge on because when I sell it I want people to know its not really a ford!"

but all replica cues by definition are actually fake copies of an original version are they not?

I am surprised that a maker would make a replica cue like this Frankenstein thing - how did Tommo know his he your pal - or related or did you buy it off him because you and he have been tied at the hip on two threads now and you both stick up for each other - even when he is insulting people.

if you had you sold it on here to someone on here you would possibly have got grief down the line for selling it and misleading the buyer in your description - They might not have properly known what a ye olde ash looked like and was just going off the badge thinking wow a bargain.

I am not trying to ruin your sale - I am trying to protect the buyer from spending 300 quid on a cue that is not actually what the badge says it is.
I've done deals with wolf147 and he is a great guy to deal with and totally honest.
Protect the buyer from what exactly? This cue would cost a lot more than 291 quid delivered from tony glover and it is a cue made fully by tony glover as proven by wolf147, all it needs is a change of badge to 1 of Tonys regular square badges and then it's a £350-400 cue.
You said it wasn't a glover cue and you thought it was a fake with no facts to back up your argument, you should do the decent thing and apologise

I stand by what I said.

He should apologise for misleading people with his advertisement - I stand by what I said - and am surprised Tony Glover did put a badge on it - I certainly would not buy it or advise anyone to buy a replica cue that looks nothing like it is supposed to look according to the badge.

                • What a funny old thread! And the irony of the whole thing, debating the authenticity of a replica cue! If only people would actually think about that for a moment you'd realise how daft it is. Only on here could we have such a discussion.

well you should point this out properly on e-bay or on here when you try and sell it to someone then because it is not a ye old ash cue or a replica of one it is a glover cue end of.

You were wrong!! You said it wasn't a glover cue and was a fake I even pulled up the quote.
You had the chance to be the bigger man and do the decent thing then everyone could move on and wolf147 could sell his cue uninterrupted. This forum gets worse and worse recently

Just leave it now mate, you proved your point with the email from tony. Either start a new thread in the hope people will leave it alone this time or get tony to fit 1 of his usual square badges as you will probably be able to get a better price that way anyway and it will stop the cue police kicking off again lol

I've helped people before who almost bought a fake and I've been ripped off before, but this isn't a fake, it is 100% a glover cue (at a good price) that could do with a different badge being fitted if the potential buyer even cares about the badge
