I think apologies are in order, wolf147 didn't deserve this thread being ruined by the cue police

Once again you are wrong (re. me) as Tony just confirmed what I've been saying all along.

Yes mate, I'd say everyone was correct bar Thommo who said it was a YOA that had had a splice added when in fact it was made that way.

no mate, you said it wor a replica.... i never advetised it as a replica because that would mean it needed to be exactly the same as an original olde ash cue,

The CUE is still made by Tony Glover from scratch with a ye olde ash badge, so that's what it is!!!!

How else should i advertise it then?

actually the original buyer had it made as a ye olde ash replica and then went back to have a front splice put on for some reason... so tommo was correct!

That's not what the email says. If you don't give full correct information how can you expect people to buy?

At this point TG should have put a normal badge on

Tony Glover 1 piece ash cue with Ye Olde badge on!

Seriously though, it looks like a nice cue. Don't you think you should send the badge to TG and get a normal one sent back?

                    • So. Let me get this right, pause for breath, its not a origanal yoa,its not a yoa replica, its a cue with a replica yoa badge,so that makes it a what?

well it aint like Tony's not busy ... he's hardly gonna have time to write out an in depth detailed message of what the cue has had done to it and on what date's and times.

what does it matter anyway when the front splice was added, you should not presume things!!!, your just upset cuz your wrong and tommo was correct..

I have gave enough imformation about cue, i dont need to add specific dates jobs were done to it lol

                          • I wish you could understand -

I stand by what I say this is not a ye old ash replica cue - because it does not look like one and should be now be re-listed as a glover cue with an incorrect badge fitted or sent back to him to have the right badge fitted - and you should be grateful this was pointed out rather than angry at me and others.

if you had you sold it on here to someone on here you would possibly have got grief down the line for selling it and misleading the buyer in your description - They might not have properly known what a ye olde ash looked like and was just going off the badge thinking wow a bargain.

I am not trying to ruin your sale - I am trying to protect the buyer from spending 300 quid on a cue that is not actually what the badge says it is.

It is a strange one this. Tony Glover is generally recognised as the master of the replica cue. I would have thought personal pride, even to the extent of losing the order would have made him say no to the request.
