Just in case I decide to order some so I can fit them myself.
You have to heat them up and bend them round any large round object. You only have to heat them once as the characteristics of brass remain pliable after 1 heat cycle. Then you can fine tune them without heat.

these are great for protecting your case i made my own as i could find any ready made like what less is selling. i just bought 2 brass strips from ebay cut them in half, i think they were 8" each about 2mm thickness.

after cutting them just shaped them with a file and drilled 4 holes in each of them, bent them slightly for the corners and just fitted them with 1/4" round head slotted screws. for me was a lot of fiddling about and i was concerned screwing into the case but in the end worth it. protects the case and gives it a nice look too

Neil; Form the protectors to fit the case ends. Then place them individually in place one at a time. Fix them in position using cellotape so that they will not move, then puncture through the cellotape & holes using a 1.5 inch panel pin & a pin hammer. Finish by simply screwing in the respective screws & removing the cellotape.
Time taken a/4 mins each after forming to case contours. Mr I K Brunel.

good tips there, but I would use masking tape and not cellotape, less chance of leaving glue on the leather

A damp not wet lint free white spirit cloth at the end cures any sticky residue if there is any. DC
