I don't suppose anyone has found a source of replacement blades for these? They only manage 4-5 cues before going blunt and tearing the tip, even though they're not expensive its daft throwing the plastic bit away after an hours use, must be something out there that will do the job as a replacement?

I don't think these will fit as they appear to be the standard 24mm long blades for the 8/10mm dia pencil sharpers.
The blade length required as you know is 38mm which I have not been able to find any spare blades yet

I don't think length would be an issue its the width which would set the cut depth - most of the cues I'm doing cut in the same place around the centre of the blade length wise - hence why they blunt so fast.

Got to be a gap in the market for one which will take a standard Stanley knife blade - sounds like a job for a certain Mr Ramsey! I'd probably pay 20 for the convenience.

yep, width is different as well (7mm against 11mm)

I recall MW thinking about such a contraption that would take standard Stanley blades, not heard anything for sometime - obviously working on other ideas

If you want I can unscrew the blades from the ones I have left and sell them as spares??? Alternatively you could cut the blade down in length and re-drill a hole for the screw, but it does sound like more effort than its worth. I don't see how the blade is going blunt so quickly for you. Are you using them to trip or to get rid of bulk??

i know a man called kenny win in china who would make it if we design it, but in reality surely the number of people who would actually make use of such a thing it too small.

I gave up on them after a couple of tips, don't know why they blunt so quickly, just poor quality steel i suppose?
I have now adapted mine and use it as a guide for my scalpel, see below thread.

But must admit I'd pay around £20 for a tool that would fit in mcase and do a half decent job of mushroom tipping.
