I have for sale a Cue and Case package. I originally purchased the cue off ebay and have added a Cue Craft Aluminium Cue Case Bronze Coloured.
Here is the description of the Cue :-
Billiard/snooker cue made in the 1950's by Kent & Cleal Ltd. of London this ash cue has NEVER BEEN USED. Spliced, it was "best hand made" by this well known manufacturer of quality cues and represents a unique opportunity to acquire an outstanding cue not available anywhere else. Production ceased in the 1950's due to the lack of interest in the sport. Cue 58" long, weight 15.5oz., straight, tip size 10mm.
I have just purchased a hand made cue to my specification and no longer have room for this great cue and case. To describe the cue in more detail it is one piece, 58" length and has 15.5 oz stamped on shaft. It has a lovely ebony butt with white inlays. The shaft is ash and has a nice grain to it. The shaft is untreated and is bare wood. I would perhaps suggest a finish to the cue needs to be applied. It still has the original leather tip which is secured by a gelatine waffer. The cue has no ferrule. It is straight.
To recap the cue would look great just as a collection cue. If the cue is bought to play with it would need a ferrule and a finish applying to seal the shaft. Other alterations may be considered ie the splitting of the cue to two piece. I would talk to a good cue doctor first and let them view it.
In my opinion though why spoil this great cue I would leave it in it's great present condition. As mentioned earlier I have added a brand new Cue Craft Bronze Aluminium Case for protection. It has foam padded interior and is lockable. It is brand new I still have the packaging.
