You can pull your tongue out of Trevor's backyard MB, you wouldn't give his cues the time of day when you first joined.

You go on about who uses this , a butterfly splice wont give you the same feel as a four splice etc etc , its all bo****ks , T W , J P etc wouldntl touch them , making a cue in a certain way will not guarantee its playability qualities and vice versa .

True, a four point hand splice can still be a clunk cue made from kiln. But the top pros and most pros use four point hand splice cues, mostly 1-piece as well. You can't deny that. And I guess playability is a reason, as well as aesthetics. The shaft on a fly stops short; that's a fact folk cannot deny. Same with a machine splice. As Aurora confirm, resonance or vibration travels down the shaft to the hand to give feel. If the shaft stops short, it's got less chance of getting there. Not bull**** mate, just common sense!

Off ur rocker , best hitting cue i ever owned was a two piece Alex Higgins from argos with the white white centre joint , all of thirty quid , ive had some expensive cues that have been awful players , not many but a few . DONT MATTER HOW ITS MADE , WHO MADE IT , WHAT METHODS THEY USE . how long its been standing in the greenhouse or laying in the bath end of the day its pot luck when she hits the white .

Not all 1 piece hand spliced cues have the shaft running right through the butt either, its all subjective, a light but stiff 3/4 or machine spliced cue will generally still give more vibration in the butt than a heavy whippy 1 piece cue will, hardness of the tip also plays a big part
