You go on about who uses this , a butterfly splice wont give you the same feel as a four splice etc etc , its all bo****ks , T W , J P etc wouldntl touch them , making a cue in a certain way will not guarantee its playability qualities and vice versa .

The shaft on a fly stops short; that's a fact folk cannot deny. Same with a machine splice. As Aurora confirm, resonance or vibration travels down the shaft to the hand to give feel. If the shaft stops short, it's got less chance of getting there. Not bull**** mate, just common sense!
