        I brought and received it. I was a little apprehensive as I've not heard of James butters, and it was cheap so wasn't sure what to expect. But it's a very nice cue indeed!

          seen a few of his cues - they are good - he was here the other day picking shafts, a nice chap.

              What do you mean? Does Mr Butters not make his own shafts? I thought he just knocked up cues as a hobby?

                first time I have met him, yes it is a hobby but everybody want to do them as well as they can. - I think he wanted a higher standard of shaft!

                  Thx. Very interesting. My impression was that he was a retired gent (ex-policeman) "whittling" away in his garden shed! Must have moved on a bit.

                            I'm fine mate, I respect any cuemakers doing this, business is business and if you get a good playing cue out of it shouldn't matter where the shaft comes from, with me I love Thai shafts so it defiantly wouldn't ever bother me.
