  • JP Mannock Cue

    Hi all,

    First post on this forum!!

I have a JP mannock cue for sale, but have no idea of value, can anyone give me an idea? its' in excellent conditon.

The label looks like embossed tin with “Anti Grip” “JP Mannock” & “Registered” embossed. Below this there is also another plastic type label in-laid with EE in black?

I can take pics if it helps.

    Many Thanks,

    Steve

I dont know mutch about cue values, is there any chance you could add a few pictures? It would help the less educated people like myself to understand the value of sertan cues.

        Hi All,

In reply to a few emails I've had (you guys and quick!!)

The cue has "17 1/2 oz" in weight stamped on the shaft. Just taken some pics - it looks in great condition, if not a bit grubby around the tip / badge end. Its been in my fathers snooker room unused for 20-odd years.

        Pics;

I would really appreciate any advice on what it is / age etc. and any ideas on value?

        Many Thanks,

        Steve

There is a JP. Mannock Antigrip on ebay at the moment. Actual bid is 51 GBP and it will run for another five days.
Maybe it can help to watch that auction to get a price idea.
I am confused... Oh wait... Maybe I'm not...

Andrew, I've wondered what makes a JP Manock so desireable... is it just a cue that has aged well?

no just pretty cues - they were supposed to be smoother in your hand originally beause of the steamed pearwood but basically its the look.

Looks very nice shed, just don't leave it beside that radiator for too long!

The shaft looks to be maple, not pearwood? Am I wrong?
