      I won't be getting into any bidding wars because that just drives the price up, but about 20 seconds before the deadline I will be bidding 5k for it.

            I'll put my money on Chris Lloyd- potblack151- he has the biggest collection of Joe Davis cues and memorabilia.

                  compare them especially from the youtube clip for me they look different unless there was different trophys made for each year.....i cant find the 1978 version on youtube.

                      I think the Joe Davis one was specially made for him and that may be why it looks different. I'm away from home till tomorrow afternoon but when i get back i'm going to have as good a look as i can at the footage of the trophy being presented to Joe and see how much it looks like the one on ebay. I will let you guys know asap

                            Roger Lee is probably the best snooker historian and the World Snooker Association's official historian. He has his own very big collection and successful archive DVD collection, 10 volumes each an hour of matches and clips from the archives and 2 volumes of matches from the 70's. http://www.billiardsandsnookerarchive.co.uk/
