        I know but how much more interest did it get because it was a low bid? some people might not even have bid had it been at 300 mid week. I never understand people waiting till the last second, people are just as likely to upp there maximum bid as they are to put a new one in when outbid. One thing i hate about ebay is people bidding last second, and paypal fees of course...

                    unfortunately nobody uses them any more and even they set me back 75p each - the new idea and this is no joke is that the bank want to charge me 50p for an online bank transfer!!!! thieves!

                        despite what most people think ,bidding in the last minute makes no sense. why do people keep doing this? get in early with a healthy bid is the best way to win

                          true . when i started on ebay total fees were about 5% which is fine its now over 15%

                            Yeh they started that about a year ago i think. Ebay owns paypal and there is no option of not accepting it, i cant believe they are getting away with it myself.

                              yes its a monopoly but as you say they are getting away with it because in reality theey own online auctions.
