You must understand that TC 1g's were introduced by Aramith to try to stop the kicks and bad contacts problem with their balls that have been with us since their introduction in the early 90's, it didn't work because the problem wasn't weight it was material. The new chalk from Taom has helped but when it's humid it's back to square one for everyone except for us SC users.
Play with them and you'll notice the difference, especially if you live in a hot and humid part of india.

Cue Crafty - Yes that looks like the boxes we used for the Deluxe sets. They were the same as the normal SCs but matched closer for weight so would be the same as provided for pro tournaments. I have to say they the average player probably wouldn't notice any difference but there was a small demand for matched sets, which is probably why you don't see many around!
The pro players at the time I recall blamed the SCs for so many kicks until it became clear it was the over use of the chalk of the day - remember how much chalk you used to see on the table cloths? Minute specks of chalk on a ball could give bad contact. We even had high speed cameras filming contact between the SC balls but with a clean cloth and little chalk no kicks were recorded.
I still wonder why the pro's chalk their cues so many times before they take a shot - surely there is only so much chalk that will stay on a cue tip?
May I just add that when buying second hand sets you may not get what was in the original box! I have seen second hand sets where there have been variations in the shade of the reds!

They arrived today, great service by the seller to send them so soon.
Every ball had a small black mark on it (see pic), I would guess from the lid of the box so they must have been stored a long time, cleaned off easily though. Balls look in pristine condition, no burn marks on the cue ball and no chips at all, very shiny, same shade of colours as my regular set, weights are as follows:
cue ball 139.5g yellow 140.8g green 140.1g brown 139.6g blue 141g pink 141g black 140.6g red 140.8g red 140g red 140.4g red 140.5g red 140.9g red 140.4g red 140.1g red 140.9g red 140.2g red 140.1g red 140.9g red 140.9g red 140.1g red 140.6g red 140.1g.
So the cue ball is the lightest as expected with a used set as it gets struck by chalked tips, brown a bit lighter than the rest but the difference between lightest and heaviest is only 1.5 grammes, 139.5g to 141g, can't beat it for Β£44

So now I have a regular set of SC's for sale, offers welcomeSpeak up, you've got to speak up against the madness, you've got speak your mind if you dare
